Tungsten steel thimble is a thimble made of high-quality tungsten steel material by grinding and polishing with precision equipment. It is commonly called thimble, supporting needle, double thimble, flat thimble, insert needle and PIN needle. Because of its high hardness of 92.0HRA and bending strength of 4000MPa, the high-quality tungsten steel material has high wear resistance and excellent corrosion resistance. It is usually used in plastic molds to separate plastic products from the molds, and can also be used to penetrate thin and long pinholes, and is often used on lathes and grinders to support the workpiece and make it rotate around it. It is also suitable for making tungsten steel electrode rods in photoelectric industry, with the tip angle controlled between 10 and 15, and is mainly used for supporting (jacking up) the auxiliary vacuum adsorption system on the equipment of automatic die bonder.

Remarks
The thimble has high hardness and wear resistance, but it is not resistant to high temperature. It is suitable for plastic molds, not for die casting or forging dies.
